Dr. Anita A Patil

She has completed her Bachelors & Masters in Law with specialization in Business and Trade Law. She was awarded with two Gold Medals for securing 1st Rank in Specialization of Business & Trade Laws, Masters of Law 2012, Karnataka University Dharwad, Karnataka. She has qualified UGC- NET- JRF Fellowship Award in the year December 2012. She had joined Chair on Consumer Law and Practice, National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru in July 2012. She has successfully completed her Ph.D. research degree on the research topic “A Critical Study of Legal Framework to Control Misleading Advertisements in India: with special reference to Food, Drugs and Cosmetics” from NLSIU, Bangalore in 2018. She is an Accredited Mediator by completing 40 hours training module in Negotiation and Mediation, at Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation, (IIAM) Mediation Training Program in June, 2016 at Cochin. She has actively contributed in the policy making on Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi along with Chair on Consumer Law and Practice, NLSIU. She has been the Editor of International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice & March of Consumer Law & Practice, NLSIU (2012- 2019). She is the Co-ordinator, Centre for Women & Child Welfare Policy ( November 2020), Co-ordinator for P.G. Studies in Law (January 2022) and IQAC, Co-ordinator (May 2022) at Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru. She is also the external member of Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH) Committee of reputed organization in Bengaluru. Dr. Patil has been awarded with the Prof. Indira Parikh 50 Women in Education Leaders at the World Education Congress organised at Taj, Mumbai on July 7, 2022. She is the External Member, State Level Advisory Committee, Food Safety and Standard Authority, Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru. She is the Member of National Business Chamber for Women, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, (WICCI) Karnataka Chapter since May 2021. She has also presented research papers at National & International Conferences. She has various National & International publications for her credits.
