P. Vaishnavi Narayeni - Assistant Professor (Law) & CTO, NCC

B.A., LL.B. (Hons), LL.M., UGC NET-JRF, Ph.D. (pursuing; JGLS, JGU)

She graduated from the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. She completed her Master’s Degree in International Law and Organisation from the University of Madras. She topped in all four semesters and received University Merit Fellowship. She secured the First rank and Gold medal – ‘The President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal’ from the University of Madras. She is pursuing her Ph.D. from the Centre for Postgraduate Legal Studies, Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global [Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University]. She has also cleared the UGC-NET examination twice and secured the JRF once. She started her career at Ramaiah College of Law in 2016. Over the years, she has participated and presented papers in several seminars and workshops.

She has recently presented a paper titled “Marine Biodiversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction: An issue of Common Concern of Humankind” at the Conference to celebrate the Completion of 60 Years of ISIL held in New Delhi in February 2020. She was a Panellist and presented on the topic “Importance of Territorial Disputes in International Relations and the relevance of the use of force in resolving territorial disputes” in the International Webinar on Territorial Disputes under International Law: Effects and Consequences organized by the Department of Legal Studies, University of Madras, in September 2020.

She has completed an online certificate course on ‘International Environmental Law’ offered by Student At Law and an online non-credit course offered by the University of Geneva through Coursera titled ‘International Water Law’. She has also successfully completed a 4-Week Induction/Orientation Programme for “Faculty in Universities/Colleges/Institutes of Higher Education” organized by the Teaching Learning Centre, Ramanujan College, University of Delhi, under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development and Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching with an ‘A+’ Grade in December 2020.
