Dr. Anita A Patil

She has completed her Bachelors and Masters in Law with specialization in Business and Trade Law. She was awarded with two Gold Medals for securing 1st Rank in Specialization of Business and Trade Laws, Masters of Law 2012, Karnataka University Dharwad, Karnataka. She has qualified UGC- NET- JRF Fellowship Award in the year December 2012. She had joined Chair on Consumer Law and Practice, National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru in July 2012. She has successfully completed her Ph.D. research degree on the research topic “A Critical Study of Legal Framework to Control Misleading Advertisements in India: with special reference to Food, Drugs and Cosmetics” from NLSIU, Bangalore in 2018. She is an Accredited Mediator from Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation (IIAM), Cochin. She has actively contributed in the policy making on Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi along with Chair on Consumer Law and Practice, NLSIU. She has been the Editor of International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice and March of Consumer Law and Practice, NLSIU (2012- 2019). She is the Senior Editor of the International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice, an annual journal of law indexed by SCOPUS, HeinOnline, SCC OnLine, and the UGC CARE List at NLSIU. She is the Co-ordinator, Centre for Women and Child Welfare Policy (November 2020 onwards), Co-ordinator for P.G. Studies in Law (Jan-Nov 2022) and IQAC, Co-ordinator (May 2022 onwards) at Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru. She is also the external member of Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace (POSH) Committee of reputed organization in Bengaluru. Dr. Patil has been awarded with the Prof. Indira Parikh 50 Women in Education Leaders at the World Education Congress organised at Taj, Mumbai on July 7, 2022. She is the External Member, State Level Advisory Committee, Food Safety and Standard Authority, Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru. She is the Member of National Business Chamber for Women, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (WICCI) Karnataka Chapter since May 2021. Dr. Anita has been recently appointed as Joint Secretary of Common Wealth Legal Education Association (CLEA- Asia-India). She is the Coordinator of an International Research Project with the Common Wealth Legal Education Association (CLEA). She has also presented research papers at National and International Conferences. She has various National and International publications for her credits..
