Ms. Anurupa Chetia Sinha

Ms. Anurupa Chetia Sinha, Assistant Professor of Law at MS Ramaiah College of Law. She worked previously at the National Law University, Odisha as Research Associate Cum Teaching Assistant. She has working experience of almost three years where she taught Remote Sensing Law and Legal Aid Clinical Course on Juvenile Justice and Right to Education, Indirect Tax Law and Environmental Law. Even has teaching experience of the B.Voc. Course to the paralegal students.

She has completed her B.A.LL. B (Hons.) and L.L.M from the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam. She has qualified her UGC NET in the year 2019. Presently, she is pursuing Ph.D. from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. As an additional qualification she has completed Online Diploma Course in entrepreneurship Administration and Business Laws from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences in the year 2017. Her Paper titled ‘Practised by the Ahom tribes of Assam under IPR Laws in India – A critique’, has been published by National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam ICSSR Sponsored National Seminar on Effective Protection of Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Expressions: National and Community Experiences, May 03-04, 2019 with ISBN:978-81-941086-0-She has presented paper on Geographical Indication (GI) as a tool for Protection of Traditional Medicinal Knowledge (TMK): Meeting Points and Conflicts’ at National Symposium on Geographical Indication (GI) and Plant Variety Protection - Issues and Challenges held on DSNLU, Vishakhapatnam on 8th September, 2018. She has also participated in the Participated in Contract Drafting Competition, 2018 organised by Kashyap & Kashyap dated August 12, 2018. She has also participated in the Moot Court Competition of “Kerala Law Academy Trophy Winning Moot Court Competition”.

As an additional qualification co-curricular activity, she has completed the Pracheen Kala Kendra Chitra Visharrad Pratham Khand, (Fine Arts Painting) with First Division on 29 th September, 2007. Apart from this she has also, completed Diploma in Bharatnatyam with First division from Rukmini Devi Kala khetra, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Dated 23 January, 2013. She has been assigned with the responsibilities as Start – up Faculty Coordinator in Institution’s Innovation Council of NLUO under MHRD and she has prepared Video Lecture for Modular Programme of Legal Awareness. In her college, she was the founding member of Centre for Environment under which she designed the Newsletter for the Centre.
