Special Lecture on Fiscal Federalism and Centrally Sponsored Schemes: Rethinking Article 282 of the Constitution.

The Constitutional Law Club of Ramaiah College of Law organised a special lecture on 'Fiscal Federalism and Centrally Sponsored Schemes: Rethinking Article 282 of the Constitution' on February 19, 2022. Ms. Ritwika Sharma, Senior Resident fellow, Vidhi and lead at Charkha, Vidhi’s Constitutional Law Centre and Mr. Kevin James, Research Associate, Centre for Social and Economic Progress addressed the students. Mr. Kevin deliberated on the fiscal federal architecture by emphasising on diverse provisions of Indian Constitution viz., Article 262, 73, 162, 270 275 and 282. While, Ms. Ritwika explained the history of the drafting of fiscal provisions and emphasised on Article 282 in its length and breadth.
