Outreach program on 'POCSO Act in Digital Era'

On 9th August 2023, the Centre for Women and Child Welfare Policy [CWCWP] conducted an awareness programme on ‘POCSO Act in Digital Era’ at 2pm for Ramaiah High school students in the presence of Sri Jayanna H. K., Head Master of Ramaiah High School along with other teachers of the school. The objective of this workshop was to understand the intricacies and significance of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, cybercrimes related to sexual harassment and offences and provide remedies against it. The program was interactive and students showed active participation. Additionally, a small video was also played for the students to educate them on good touch and bad touch and whom to approach when sexual assault /harassment happens, along with remedies against it.
