On 6th June 2023, in celebration of World Environment Day, a collaborative program was organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) at GKVK in Bangalore. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation, promote sustainable practices, and educate students on sericulture and bio crafts.

The key highlights of the event included plant drive and awareness session on sericulture and bio-crafts.The plantation drive contributed to the greening of the area and instilled a sense of ownership among the students. The awareness session on sericulture and bio crafts by renowned experts broadened students' horizons, encouraging them to consider eco-friendly alternatives for livelihood and entrepreneurship The program successfully achieved its objectives of raising awareness, educating students, and inspiring action towards environmental conservation.
