Legal Awareness Programme on Consumer Rights
The Legal Services Clinic of Ramaiah College of Law organised the Legal Awareness Programme on Consumer Rights on March 5, 2022 at KMWP Vidyaniketan High School, Mahalakshmipuram, Bengaluru. Ms. Apoorva, I year B.Com., Ms. Anusha, IV Year B.A., LL.B., Ms. Gagana, II Year B.A., LL.B., and Ms. Danika, III Year B.A.,LL.B. deliberated on various aspects of Consumer Law viz., Consumer Exploitation, Consumer Rights and the Redressal Mechanism. The volunteers also educated the students on the unfair trade practice, misleading advertisement, deceptive products etc. The skit was enacted by a team of volunteers comprising Ms. Apoorva, Mr. Sharan, Ms. Chandana, Ms. Anagha, Ms. Nischith, Mr. Yuktha and Ms. Hima, to reach the diverse audience and ensure the effective dissemination of information, which was followed by the student activity so as to engage them and know the learning outcomes of the students.
Mr. Sudheesh & Ms. Ruthu, Convenor & Co-Convenor, coordinated in organising the event under the guidance of the Faculty in-charge. Around 26 student volunteers were actively involved in organising the programme. The programme was oriented to create awareness about the consumer law amongst the high school students involving 8th to 10th standard.
