Fresher’s day – Report

Fresher’s Day is a celebration of the new batch of students in college. It is a day dedicated to the first year students, who are given the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the entire college and to get to know their batch mates and seniors. Ramaiah College of Law conducts Fresher’s Day for every incoming batch in their first year. The event was conducted virtually, on Zoom platform on 25th June, 2021. The theme of the event was ‘Dress up as your favourite Movie Character’ and it was organised by the Second year students under the guidance of the faculty members in charge of cultural committee.

The event was inaugurated and addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Rose Varghese, Director (Academics), RCL & Dr. V Shyam Kishore, Principal, RCL. The events part of the celebration were Fresher of the year, virtual fashion show, best movie character, silent killer (game). Eight finalist were shortlisted basis of their answers to Q & A and their talent. Finalists’ video performances were played on the zoom call to judge the title winners. This was followed by the cultural performances by the second year students.

The winner of the title Fresher of the year - Skanda BN, First Runner up – Zara Cherian, Second Runner up – Sunaina S Rao, Best Dressed for the virtual fashion show – Qaied Metab, Best Movie Character –Noorafshan Aftab. The winner of the game ‘Silent Killer’ is Joshua Sam Varghese.
