Awareness Programme on “Women in Politics and Diplomacy” in Collaboration with IQAC, RCL
The Awareness Program on International Day of Women in Diplomacy was held on 1st July 2024 at Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru. This event, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Centre for Women and Child Welfare Policy, aimed to honor women who have significantly influenced political and diplomatic arenas globally, celebrating their roles in contemporary governance and international relations.
The program emphasized the contributions of women in shaping political and diplomatic landscapes and aimed to inspire future generations by showcasing influential women leaders. Through this initiative, the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment in all spheres of life was underscored.
Student volunteers discussed notable figures like Eleanor Roosevelt, Vijay Lakshmi Pandit, Chonira Belliappa Muthamma, and Margaret Thatcher. A reel featuring brief presentations on these women highlighted their impact on global diplomacy and governance.
The event successfully raised awareness about the critical role of women in political and diplomatic spheres, fostering a deeper appreciation for gender equality and inspiring advocacy for women’s empowerment. This collaboration paved the way for future initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and policy development.
