SIS ANNUAL SPORTS DAY
The SIS Annual Sports Day, held at the GEF Ground, MSR Sports Complex on December 19, 2023, was a remarkable demonstration of inclusion and inspiration. Organized by the APD-RCL Centre for Disability Law and Policy, the event showcased the resilience and unity of participants from the Shraddhanjali Integrated School (SIS), Association of People with Disability (APD). Distinguished guests, including Shri B.S. Ramprasad (CEO of Gokula Education Foundation), Prof. Umamahesh Sathyanarayan (Principal of Ramaiah College of Law), Mrs. Pannaga B. (Principal of SIS), Mr. Badal Chatterjee (Faculty Coordinator, APD-RCL Centre for Disability Law and Policy), graced the occasion, emphasizing the event's significance. The day began with a poignant inauguration ceremony, marked by speeches and the release of balloons, symbolizing the spirit of the event. Throughout the day, participants engaged in various sports activities, transcending physical boundaries and celebrating the human spirit. A highlight of the event was the presence of Shri. Shiva C. Hiremath (Director of Programs at APD) and Mr. Mallikarjuna (Director of Inclusive Education at APD), who praised the participants for their athletic achievements and character. Awards were presented to winners, representing not just victory but resilience. The APD-RCL Centre was honored with sapling-filled flower pots, symbolizing hope and inclusivity. Mrs. Pannaga concluded the event with heartfelt thanks, highlighting its essence as a beacon of hope and unity.
